With his various skills involving data analytics, Saiprasad Setty worked with the FITC team as a Data Analyst and Student Ambassador. He was a valued employee because of his well-developed skills in research and analytics. Before coming to Florida State University, he received his Bachelor’s degree in computer science in 2013. In December 2015, Setty graduated from FSU with a Master’s degree in Computer Science.
Because of his passion and proficiency, Setty was hired to analyze massive amounts of data collected by the FITC team. FITC is required by the Florida Board of Governors to conduct an annual survey of FSU and Florida A&M University alumni. Setty assisted in collecting the required data and analyzing it to report Florida State University’s ability to recruit, retain, and employ students in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Information Technology. In this position, he was able to create queries to track student outcomes. When asked what his most rewarding moment was in this position, he replied when his colleagues and superiors told him, “your work is promising.”
Currently, Setty is seeking full-time employment at a company within the data science field. His time with FITC was invaluable and he fully supports the initiative. According to Setty, FITC is “tapping the huge potential of Florida IT companies.”
