We get a lot of new hires because they first come through as an intern, that’s their first step in the door. You come in as an intern, you pretty much get the experience that you need even if it’s by just shadowing with somebody. Then you can go from being an intern into being an employee, so we benefit a lot.

We almost always have FSU grads, especially from this college, working at Sunera. So today we brought a consultant who actually graduated from the program and we met at this career fair previously, so we’ve always hired students interns and full time employment.

We get a lot of resumes. [FITC] helps us look at the talent pool that’s currently in Tallahassee that will be looking for IT jobs or web design jobs. It gives us a good avenue to filling those roles for companies that might have entry level needs.

We’re really here [at the FITC/CCI Career Fair] trying to make sure that students know who we are, and know that there’s a possibility that you can work in development and IT. I think a lot of students aren’t really aware of that especially when they’re younger.

For the FITC career fair, most of the students do a very good job and present themselves well. They come prepared with resumes which we like to have to see what their background is.
